"NC1 NEOM" – A dual-material signage project in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM zone featuring aluminum 3D identifiers and bilingual acrylic plates, installed for Nesma Oxagon Village Company.
Signage design and implementation were tailored to optimize wayfinding, identification, and aesthetic integration within NEOM's NC1 village. Durable materials and bilingual text ensure accessibility, resilience, and clarity in a rapidly developing urban environment.
In the NC1 zone of NEOM, a comprehensive wayfinding signage system was deployed using a combination of 3D aluminum letters mounted on bold blue backgrounds and acrylic panels for functional building identifications such as prayer halls and internal doors. These signs were designed with both high visibility and durability in mind, integrating seamlessly with the project’s urban layout and visual identity.
Large-format 3D aluminum signage was used to clearly mark building identifiers like “1C-14” and “1B-10.” The dimensional lettering provides strong contrast against the blue walls, ensuring readability from long distances during both day and night.
In areas such as prayer buildings and internal room designations, acrylic signage was installed. The “Prayer Building” plaque combines Arabic and English to serve the multicultural workforce, while indoor door labels (e.g., “W-D66 GF-04”) follow a clean white and navy color scheme with client branding.
